A Play-Based Learning Approach
We believe that children learn best through hands-on experiences and exploration. Our preschool program offers a balance of structured activities and free play, allowing children to discover their interests while developing key skills. Daily activities include:
- Circle Time – Group discussions, storytelling, and interactive learning that encourage communication and listening skills.
- Crafts – Creative projects that enhance fine motor skills, self-expression, and problem-solving abilities.
- Sensory Play – Hands-on activities that stimulate curiosity, cognitive development, and critical thinking.
- Music and Movement – Singing, dancing, and rhythm-based activities that improve coordination and encourage self-confidence.
- Outdoor Play – Daily time in our dedicated playground, promoting physical activity, teamwork, and motor skill development.
- Learning Stations – Various classroom areas designed for independent exploration, including math, literacy, science, and imaginative play.
Encouraging Social and Emotional Growth
Our preschool program is a child’s first step into a structured learning environment, making social development a key focus. Through guided activities and play, children learn important social skills like sharing, taking turns, cooperating, and expressing emotions in a positive way. Our caring educators provide a nurturing space where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to express themselves.
Preparing for Kindergarten
The RCNS preschool program helps children develop essential early academic skills in math, literacy, problem-solving, and critical thinking. While our program is play-based, we introduce foundational concepts in a fun and engaging way to build confidence and excitement for lifelong learning.
A Supportive Community
As a cooperative nursery school, our preschool program encourages parent involvement, creating a close-knit, supportive community. Parents play an active role in the school, fostering strong relationships between families, educators, and students.
Our Preschool Program runs three mornings and/or 3 afternoons per week, with flexible options available. If you’re looking for a warm, community-focused preschool experience, we invite you to connect with us and learn more about joining the RCNS family!
